Enjoyed the meals, especially the antipasto plate. Eggplant parmesan was perfectly cooked. Both times it was a little too warm inside for comfort but the owner happily opened the door for some ventilation. Great outdoor dining but make reservations for this. Also in this part of Germany as in several other places in Europe, smoking is no longer allowed inside so smokers are forced outside. So many smokers eating outdoors la conchiglia straubing is annoying for non-smokers. We always picked seating upwind which makes a huge difference. Thats just part of the Euro culture though. Gracious owner made each trip memorable. Although I have no complaints whatsoever, I wouldn't rate this as the best italian food in Europe. Those would be some big shoes to fill.
